The summer is about to end and school is right around the corner for most students do you ever think on the 1st day of school what could I give my child as an extra good luck treat and well wish for a good school year? Here a small treat for child or even your children’s friends as a  Back-to-School Welcome gift? Here is a easy DIY treat that can be done in 10 min.

Supplies

  • Rolo’s
  • Hershey Kisses
  • Yellow and Pink Cardstock
  • Foil
  • Glue Dots
  • Ribbon or String
  •  Scissors

First pull the Hershey’s label out of the Kiss, and use the Glue Dots to attach the Hershey’s Hug to one of the ends of the Rolo.

Second you will want to cut about a 1″ thick pink strip to add to the top of the Rolo to resemble an eraser then you want to cut circle and attached it to the top of the eraser.

Third cut a piece of yellow cardstock to wrap around the Rolo’s.  Fold it about a quarter of an inch over and over to create the crease marks for the pencil, and then you will attach it to the Rolo’s.

Fourth cut a thin piece of foil to cover the part where the yellow and pink overlap, this works as the metal portion of the pencil. Last but not least you can attach a note to the finished your pencil with a ribbon or string. You are done! I hope the kids enjoy this welcome back to school treat.

Have a great school year everyone!

Thank you @Thrifty and Thriving
