Throwing an Olympic theme party this summer? What a better way to get creative and add that Olympic touch with Olympic Rings that are made from scratch by you. These rings are a great decoration to any Olympic theme party and even after the party they can just become a decoration in your home since the Olympics will still be on.

What you will need:

  • 5 pool noodles
  • Duck Tape
  • 5 -6″ pieces of pvc pipe
  • fishing line
  • hot glue gun
  • 1/4 yards of cloth in each of the Olympic ring colors

First you need is 1 of your 5 PVC pipes and insert it into your noodle. You want to go about half way down the pvc pipe.

Now you should have inserted the PVC pike enough to still have about an inch left that is not covered (for each ring leave an inch of PVC pipe showing) as shown above.

Your next step will be warping duck tape around the opening of the circle where it is uneven. Once that is done you will get one of your 5 colors of cloth and cut it into three equal strips. Then you will get your hot glue gun ready and with the 1st strip glue down one end 1st and start wrapping the cloth around the ring when your out of that piece of cloth hot glue the other end of your same color cloth and keep going till the ring is fully covered with the same colored cloth.

Now you keep going with each ring with its own color till your done with all 5 rings.

Once the 5 rings are all done you will need to lay all of the rings down and tie them together with fishing line where they meet.

Now that your all done you can enjoy your Olympic Rings decorations.
