Hello, fellow artists! It’s the Imikimi Team here, back once again to feature yet another outstanding artist. Sometimes we get so involved with the idea of mixing technology with art that the end result ends up looking too, well, precise. With perfectly crisp edges and clean, smooth lines. Gone is the handmade feeling, replaced with the pristine accuracy only a computer can provide. Sometimes this is a good thing, but other times it is nice to see something that appears to be made with love. Today we have just the artist who has mastered that feel, combining digital technology and a handmade sensibility to produce the fun and heartfelt designs of Love You Daily.
The brainchild of graphic designer Zach Graham, Love You Daily is a blog adding one new design a day. But not just any designs; each is an expression of love for his wife Tiffany. An every day a new design is posted. Some are funny, some are clever, and all are sweet.
Hosted on Tumblr, it becomes extremely easy to receive new updates whenever there is a new design posted. Every single one is bound to bring a smile to your face, whether it’s this one, that one, or the one all the way over here.
Zach’s personal design portfolio can be found at the The Unicorn Kingdom. There you’ll find links to a number of his projects. You’ll notice a love of texture and “mistakes” throughout his work. Past forms of printing are alive here, all their imperfections come back to life via simulation. Block printing and offset are just a few of the types you’ll see, rough textures, and bleeding ink. Being a designer himself, Zach Graham also designed print material for use at he and his wife’s wedding, as seen here:
As always, we here at Imikimi want to thank you so very much for taking the time to stop by our official blog. Be sure to stop by again soon as me pump out more and more features and tutorials for your enjoyment. Thanks again, and we’ll see you soon!
