Hello once again, fellow artists! Welcome back to the official blog of Imikimi! It’s the Imikimi Team here, and we hope you like what we’ve got in store for you today. If you’re at all interested in learning about vector graphics, then you’re going to be thankful you stopped by as we feature Vector Tuts+.
A sibling site to many of the other sites which comprise the Tuts+ network, Vector Tuts+ is here to help you learn all about vector graphics programs, giving you an extra push when it comes to progressing. The site is really a mish-mash of all things related to vectors and those who love them, including interviews, resources, tips, case studies, news, quizzes, contests, theory, and of course the all-important tutorials.
Go ahead and scoot on over to vector.tutsplus.com to visit the site. Displayed closest to the top of the page will be the latest and greatest the site has to offer, with the most recent post displayed at the top. With the almost ridiculous amount of different posts and categories in which they can be found, it is perhaps best to direct your attention to the navigation, rather than simply scrolling all of the pages before you.
If you’re looking for awesome tutorials ranging from short and sweet, all the way to in-depth and lengthy, hover over the “Tutorials” section. There, you’ll get a drop-down menu of the different subjects you can view tutorials in. Let’s take a peek in the “Character Design” category. Here you’ll gain access to all of the awesome tutorials show you how to make some super cool and fun characters, using a variety of different software tools, such as Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape. Scroll down to a tutorial you like and click on the preview image or title to see more.
The very first image at the top is the final product, what you should end up with if you were to follow the tutorial all the way through to completion. Inside are awesome tips and techniques from the professionals, with years and years of experience built up. But you are just starting out, it’s probably best to start with the “Basix” navigation link at the top. Here is where you’ll find tutorials aimed at newbies to the area of vector artwork. It’s recommended to start here before moving on to other lengthier tutorials. One of the best starting points is the “Get Started with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator” Basix tutorials. There is even a video section where you can watch live demonstrations of vector creation, which can aid greatly those who learn more visually by watching others.
As always, we want to thank you so very much for taking the time to visit the official blog of Imikimi. Stop by soon, as we’ll have more awesome art, design, and craft quotes. Take care, and we’ll see you soon!
