Hi gang! Imikimi Team here! This time of year is super busy when it comes to gift giving. We’re just past the Christmas season, and now Valentine’s Day is upon us! Not to mention the numerous Birthdays and Anniversaries coming up as well. With all these holidays being one after another, the entire gifting process begins to get a little too pricey. And it’s not just the gifts themselves! It’s the wrapping paper, bows, ribbons, cards, and labels that get us along the way. For this week’s craft, we’re going to show you how to make some awesomely creative gift labels using your Kimi’s.
- Hole Punch
- Ribbon or Yarn
First off you will of course need to make a Kimi. We will need to add text as well so once you have chosen a Kimi to use, make sure you click ‘Switch to Full Kimi Editor.’
Once you are in the Full Kimi Editor, click ‘Add Text.’ Now is the time to add your ‘To’ and ‘From’ to the label. Once that is complete, go ahead and save your Kimi.
Now what we need to do is set up a sheet that will print out several labels at one time. There’s a couple of different ways you can set this up. If you are running Windows, right click your Kimi and scroll to ‘Open with’, and click Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Once your picture comes up, click ‘File’ and ‘Print’. You now have the option to choose how many labels you intend to print. For this project, I’ll go ahead and select ‘Wallet (9)’. Make sure you update the portion that says ‘Copies of Each Picture’ to 9. Now you should have something that looks like this:
Note: If you have a Mac, you can do the same in iPhoto. Click here for the directions on how to do so.
Use scissors to cut out your labels. To spice things up, try scrapbooking scissors for an interesting and creative look.
Use your hole punch to put a hole in one corner or side of your label. Now you can tie your yarn or ribbon through the hole.
And there you have it! All that’s left is for you to fill in the ‘To’ and ‘From’ sections.
Stay tuned next week for another great Valentine’s Day craft project!
