Quick Guide: How to Share Your ImikimiNovember 12, 2011 at 11:00 am | Posted in Imikimi | Leave a comment
Hello, fellow artists!
While we do attempt to make the sharing of Kimis as user-friendly as possible, we understand that new users may find it slightly daunting at first. So in an effort to make sure everyone has a full understanding of what our software can do, we’d like to offer this quick guide on how to share your first Imikimi creation.
First, log into the Imikimi website. Once you have chosen and customized your selected Kimi, you will need to save it. Doing so will allow you to add it to your collection and share it with others. Click the “Save” button in the upper right-hand side. It will take a moment to save and then direct you to the next page.
The page you are now on will allow the selection of options as to how and where you would like to share your Kimi with others. Your Kimi will be published immediately for all others to see. You may change this if you wish by clicking the “Unpublish” link towards the top. By default, below your created image, you will see the Facebook section of your sharing options. This allows for the quick addition of the Kimi to your Facebook Wall, or the ability to add it directly to your Photos page.
Clicking the tab directly right of the Facebook tab labelled “Share” will open up sharing options for most every social network under the sun! You can share to MySpace, Twitter, Digg, Orkut, Delicious, Bebo, iGoogle, WordPress, email and so much more. Clicking on each website’s icons will direct you to that site. Assuming you are already logged into that site, the only thing left to do is click to publish. So don’t be shy; spread your creation out there to be seen by the world!
If you would like to be a little more in-depth, clicking the “Codes” tab farther to the right will bring up all of the embed codes for you to use your Kimi on your website and in forums, or even the HTML necessary to use it as a background.
We hope this quick-start guide is able to help you spread your work for all of your friends to see. And who knows, maybe they will become Imikimi users themselves! We’ll have much more coming in the future, so please check back regularly! Thank you so much for reading!
