Imikimi 101: Getting Your Creative OnOctober 31, 2011 at 10:00 am | Posted in Conventional Art, Imikimi | Leave a comment
Hello, creative intellects! It’s the Imikimi team here with a break-down on the quickest way to create your own Kimi and share it with your friends. If you haven’t been to our website, now is the time to check it out. We have a remarkable online community where users can take photos, transform them, add some flare, and share! Here’s the scoop on how to personalize a Kimi Frame!
The first step in creating your Kimi is to choose a photo to place in the design. Being that this is your starting point, we recommend using an image that has a plain background so your image may stand out and blend well with your frame choice. This allows for maximum contrast while highlighting your center image.
The next step is selecting your favorite frame. On Imikimi.com, our software allows you browse through hundreds of frames that are arranged by category. These can range from girly designs all the way to motorcycles, and even holiday themes. If you’re ready to go on a creative spree, then you are free to create your own frame, adding that special accent to your image’s border.
Once you have both your picture and your frame decided simply click the blue and white button shown in the middle of the frame and select your photo. From here you will be able to adjust the size to fit your photo properly into place. Ensure that the image is still large enough that everything can still be easily seen.
Your final step allows you to share your wonderful creation with all your friends on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and email. Customizing a frame is not the end-all-be-all of what can be done, but rather just the tip of the iceberg. We’ve taken care of the software, now it’s just up to you to provide the art. And remember, your only limitation is your imagination. Many other exciting projects can be undertaken. Here are just a few of the things that can be done:
- Create your own frame for a favorite photo
- Create e-cards (invitations, birth/engagement announcements)
- Create ads for your website
- Customized Facebook/Myspace profile pictures
We would love to hear about your fun Imikimi experiences. Feel free to share your thoughts, ideas, and opinions in the comments section below! Thanks for taking the time to read!
